HIPPIE, LOVE.

It's great to be home and straight back into the swing of things! I was lucky enough to be greeted by beautiful gifts sitting on my front porch, upon my arrival back into the country :)
This stunning aztec/psycedelic brown and orange dress was just one of the pieces sent to me by one of my favourite labels right now: LOVE (as seen on Topshop). I adore their girly bohemian style, and feel very lucky to be able to show you some of their pieces in upcoming entries. In the meantime, take a look at their shop www.inlovewithfashion.com

DIY

Today I took to one of Jack's singlets with my dressmaker scissors. Here's how that little escapade turned out:

Grounded.

I got back from Melbourne-town last night. Had such a fantastic time laughing with friends, sipping coffee in hidden lane-ways, sipping (a little too much) wine, and bargain shopping at Bridge Rd.

But it always feels soo good flying back into my home town... and being able to slip back into my fave pair of short-shorts and a loose knit.

BTW - How amazing are over-the-knee boots right now!? I picked up this spunky pair for my sister while I was down there (just HAD to show you them before I handed them over) - but immediately regret not getting myself a pair..

The simple things.

T-shirt, jeans and a fab scarf was all I needed today to feel somewhat styled and completely comfortable.

Colour Mocking.

I'm baaaaaaaaack!!! I feel like it's been so long since I've done a 'what I'm wearing' blog entry.. so I'm back now in full swing (after a VERY busy coupla weeks) and I promise to be more present.

You might have noticed one of the biggest 'trends' right now is 'colour blocking'. As much as I love a bit of colour in my outfits at times, I have to admit I'm not the biggest fan of wearing blocky colours together that don't actually match eachother, just for the sake of being 'on-trend'. And besides, you know I love my browns, blacks, and neutrals..

For today's outfit, the only bit of colour you'll see is on my nails and lips.

What I'm wearing:
Black netted top that I bought from Kmart last week for $15
DIY frayed cut-off denim shorts
Sheer black knee-high tights
Black pouch bag (Kmart - $5)
'Chain Me' layered necklace - www.beinspiredtoshop.blogspot.com
The most amazing cross/key/skull/chain earrings (new to www.beinspiredtoshop.blogspot.com)
Peace Ring - available soon on www.beinspiredtoshop.blogspot.com

....and I thought I'd show you how much my little man has grown since last he appeared in a shoot!

Hope you're all well! I'll have a new outfit of the day REALLY soon, promise xox K

Beautiful rich red things inspired me today. Like this gorgeous locally designed and made necklace, this velvety oversized handbag that I picked up ($14) from an Op-Shop down the road, and this 'Ruby Red' Lip Definer by FOA.

Life seems so busy at the moment, I can't wait until it slows down just a little so I can tell you about the exciting things that lie ahead for us!

:) Love and pretty red things xox K

Winter Sun.

So we've officially hit WINTER! My favourite season of all :) Why? Think scarves, beanies, cute leggings, skivvies, boots, LAYERRRS, coffee, (faux) fur, snuggling by the fireplace, crisp air, gorgeous sunsets...

Khakis.

I've never really found this colour terribly attractive. But something about the interesting design and cut of this long sleeved mini, teamed with this chunky knit - sits well with me. Especially when worn with some gorgeous silver jewellery.

My gorgeous new puppy, 'Suki' :) I'm so in love.

The very first blog photoshoot he's attended, and he was so well behaved :)
